Following a recent project win, our client is now seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major data centre build in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a key site-based role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of commercial packages on a complex, high-value project.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of the project, ensuring cost control and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities will include:
• Managing project costs, budgets, and cash flow
• Preparing, submitting, and agreeing interim valuations
• Procurement and commercial management of subcontract packages
• Negotiating subcontract terms, variations, and final accounts
• Managing change control and risk within the project
• Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
• Working closely with the site team to drive commercial performance
• Assisting with monthly commercial reporting to senior management
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role with a main contractor
• Proven experience delivering large-scale projects (data centres, pharma, or complex M&E projects advantageous)
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• High level of commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management systems
• Willingness to be based on site in Frankfurt (relocation and package support typically provided)
